Men are hard to shop for during the holidays. We’ve all been there before… hopelessly perusing aisle after aisle, website after website to no avail. Most guys don’t wait until the holidays to buy themselves exactly what they want and they rarely ask for anything they need. Women on the other hand, we want everything under the damn sun! So here is my man-approved list of acceptable gift ideas for the guy in your life. Be sure to check out my gift guide for her and happy shopping!
Kiehl’s Groom with Greatness Collection ($72) I might be showing my hand here, but let’s just say there’s one of these sets in the closet as I type. Not only does my comb magically disappear from the bathroom weekly, my shampoo and styling products follow suit. This set is perfect for the man who has plenty of hair, yet never likes to buy his own sh*t. My fiance is incredibly picky with products but he loves this wax for a messy look. The jumbo shampoo and conditioner in one makes his life a little easier and these travel bags always come in handy!
La Mer Mini Miracles Collection ($85) OK, so this gift is not for every man on your list. Some guys actually do seek quality skincare or they travel for work… for those men, this set is perfect! I love gifting my man luxury products because he appreciates them and actually uses them. It’s something he’ll never buy for himself but when he’s traveling for work or needs a boost before a big meeting, he will love having this quality set on hand. It helps that La Mer was actually developed by a man, legendary physicist Dr. Max Huber who suffered burns after a lab accident. It became his mission to heal scars from burns and that’s how La Mer was created. Once he knows the back story and sees the results first hand, he will be hooked!
UGG Brunswick Robe ($145) This robe is so comfy and cozy, he may never take it off. I am planning on buying a backup so there’s always a fresh and clean robe ready to go. On weekends, we love spending a lazy morning in our robes together eating breakfast and drinking coffee. Plus, it’s nice to have something this soft to change into after work. Basically, it’s like yoga pants for men. He will love you even more for this!
CHANEL Bleu de Chanel Set ($154) This fragrance is a classic for a reason. Sure, it’s nothing new but it’s universally well liked and an easy sell for the man who likes to smell nice. I love this fragrance and luckily, so does Gary. He goes through cologne so fast that it’s hard to keep up with him, so it’s nice that the kit includes a travel spray. Don’t toss the box! He can use it to store bathroom items, small accessories or anything else in style!
Kiehl’s Men’s Starter Kit ($43) This is the perfect gift for a guy you don’t know very well… unless you know for certain he uses Kiehl’s. If you really have no clue what to get the man on your list, this kit is perfect. It’s full of the most popular essential items. It’s also great for travel or for someone who wants to try a few different things to see what he likes best. This brand is one of my favorites for skincare and I have my fiance getting hooked as well!
Tom Ford Private Blend Oud Wood Set ($328) This set is a really great value for a man who loves his fragrance to be striking. The set includes a 1.7 oz parfum, body spray and shower gel. The body spray is nice and light for all over the body. For women, the body spray works nicely in the hair. This box can be used for nice storage as well.
FitBit Ionic Watch ($299) This makes the perfect gift for the fitness enthusiast or gadget loving guy in your life. The FitBit may be an old toy, but this watch has several really cool features that will enhance his workout with three different band colors to choose from. It also can hold music, remind you to move around, track sleep… the features go on and on! If he doesn’t have one already, this should be at the top of his list.
The Art of Shaving Kit ($120) If your man struggles with razor burn as much as mine, he needs a little help in the shaving department. This kit comes with four full-sized products for the perfect shave but truly, any shave kit will do! Once again, it’s one of those things that a man will not often buy for himself, even though he would use it regularly and benefit from it. This was a product that was not originally on my list but after further discussion and research, I was told it was a must have!
Aventus by CREED ($315-425) This was a selfish addition to the list. It is by far my favorite cologne for men of all time. It is pricey as hell but literally makes my mouth salivate. Yes, there are many nice fragrances out there and any lovely fragrance will do for a gift… but, this is the best one if you want to spoil him. It’s a treat for you too because it is such a masculine and sexy scent, you will love when he wears it around you.
Le Labo Discovery Set ($80) This set is the perfect gift because it gives your man the chance to try a few different fragrances of a high-end line before committing to just one. They are also great for traveling and for the man who likes to switch up his fragrance to match his mood or the occasion. It’s a really decent price point and it’s more fun than just gifting him what he’s been wearing daily for the past ten years.
