It’s official, I’m bardot dress obsessed. Well, me and everyone else who appreciates a modern trend with a pinch of nostalgic vintage glamour. This Missguided midi dress ($82) hits just below the knee with a figure skimming bodice and ruffled off-the-shoulder neckline. I usually stay away from muted colors but the soft, grey-lilac shade is so dreamy for spring and the floral pattern is feminine but not over-powering.
When I first saw this dress online, I had really high hopes. When I tried it on in-store at Nordstrom Merrick Park I was so happy to discover that it was even prettier in person. The ruffle isn’t as outrageous as it may look and the fabric is perfect for this type of cut since it has a little stretch but also firmness to keep everything in place.
This secret courtyard in Coral Gables served as the perfect backdrop for this romantic date night outfit. To style this dress I grabbed my go-to gold clutch from J. Crew that matches just about everything. Not only did it warm up the look and tie in the gold from the necklace, it kept the springtime feel. The necklace is also from J. Crew, my favorite place to shop for jewelry. The choker adds glam and a little edge to the ensemble which I love… Check out the rest of my shoot down below!
Overall, I love this outfit for ringing in spring. It’s so comfortable and I think I’ll be grabbing this piece off the hanger a lot over the next few months! To complete the makeup for this shoot I used my favorite new foundation by Giorgio Armani and Tender Beige long wear lipstick by Chanel.
