How to Use CHANEL’s New Long Wear Foundations + FULL Review

CHANEL Beauty recently launched two new foundations, Le Teint Ultra Tenue powder foundation and Le Teint Ultra Tenue liquid foundation. They are both long wearing formulas with a luminous matte finish. The Le Teint Ultra Tenue compact replaced Double Perfection which was discontinued earlier this year. Initially, I had a love hate relationship with these new additions to the family but after playing … Read More How to Use CHANEL’s New Long Wear Foundations + FULL Review

#OOTD Navy Romper with Blinged Out Booties

This little navy romper from Topshop is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. You can pair it with neutrals for now, but later add tights and a jacket when it finally cools down (please God, let it cool down soon.) The cold shoulder is certainly having a moment right now and for a really good reason, it’s hot! As soon as I saw that detail on this piece, I knew I needed it in my closet. It has adorable pockets, a ruffle around the neck and the material will hold up in the washing machine. Sometimes the cutest pieces in your wardrobe are also the most uncomfortable, well that’s definitely not the case here. I loved walking around town in this onesie. The shorts were just the right length and the sleeves weren’t tight or limiting.

In fashion and in life, the devil is in the details! Sure, the romper itself is cute but it needs something to bring it life! I went with this blinged out pair of Herve Leger booties that I bought a few years ago in Vegas on a whim. I’m so glad I did because seriously, every woman on earth needs a pair of shoes that make her feel this confident and powerful!

Other accessories include a pair of studded hoops and my go to gold clutch from J.Crew… not sure what I would do without that bag.

Rouge Allure Ink | CHANEL Launches New Liquid Lipstick Collection

There’s something new on the horizon from CHANEL beauty, it may not be revolutionary like Le Rouge Collection No. 1 but it’s still out of the box… at least for CHANEL. The Rouge Allure Ink matte liquid lipsticks launch September 2016 with eight gorgeous shades. They are long-wearing, won’t dry out your lips and range in color so that everyone can find a favorite. I was lucky enough to try #152 Choquant, a vibrant pinkish red color (pictured below) weeks before the launch and I fell in love.

Pro Tip: Apply several layers of the liquid to the lips for a smooth, easy glide finish. One coat is truly not enough and will dry out your lips, you need to really layer a couple of times to prevent cracking and discomfort. If you naturally have dry lips, use a hydrating lip treatment before you apply the Rouge Allure Ink. Also, the applicator comes to a point so you can use it to line your lips and then fill them in with the flat side of the wand. The lipstick goes on very easily so I highly suggest using a liner, especially for the brighter colors.

After doing some research (stalking Instagram for more photos) I can say that I am most excited to try the pink-nude shade and the deep plum.

Update… They are officially here! Check out my video below for swatches and a full review.
