This summer’s best beauty collection award goes to Lancome, hands down. There have been some great new launches from Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Nars and more, but none have been as comprehensive and colorful as Lancome and no one is more surprised than me. The star of the collection is the bronzer/blush palette that comes in two options, one for lighter skin tones and one for darker skin tones. I opted for the darker palette based on the bold blushes in the center. Summertime calls for electric pink and bright coral-orange hues and as long as you are light-handed, even the fairest of cheeks can rock this palette.
The waterproof eyeliners are amazing for the waterline and truly do not budge once dried. The cream eye shadows are very easy to use and blend seamlessly with powder shadows. The lipstick Nuit et Jour might be my favorite pale pink nude for summer. It’s a sheer formula which I usually shy away from, but the hydration and light pigment are actually a beautiful compliment to the rest of the collection.
The reason this collection speaks to me so much is because of the festive “bohemian” tribal print packaging and the vibrant blue jewel tones. Since it was inspired by the beach, it makes perfect sense to include bronze and gold earth tones like the sand and sapphire blues to represent the ocean. The luminous blue and green nail polishes and eyeliners remind me of a mermaid’s tail. In other words, I’m pretty positive that if a mermaid wore makeup she would choose this collection.

A romper so nice, I bought it twice! I actually first purchased this sequined romper a few months ago from A. Haley boutique in Tampa in a silver-violet shade. Recently, I discovered that it exists in an array of different colors like black, champagne, and of course, this gorgeous green. Since the internet is a magical place where you can buy just about anything here are a few retailers that carry this style ZAFUL, Hot Miami Styles, Society of Chic and Missguided. Be warned if you order from ZAFUL, it might take longer to arrive because it actually ships from China (I learned this the hard way).
Usually, sequins are really uncomfortable to wear but this romper is the exception to the rule. The shorts have a wide-leg cut so they fall nicely with a scalloped hem to match the sequin appliques. The rope belt is removable but makes for a really cute detail and the sheer bishop sleeves are subtle and add a touch of romance. The deep-v neckline means you can’t wear a bra…. but let’s be real that’s never a bad thing, extra comfort! I styled the romper with my go-to gold clutch (per usual) and some rhinestone covered Betsey Johnson heels because why sparkle a little bit when you can sparkle head to toe!

I’ve been doing some major spring cleaning in my closet recently and to be perfectly honest, few things in life bring me as much pleasure. It takes a few days of focus and dedication along with a bullet proof plan to actually get rid of the items that need to go (instead of leaving them in a giant pile in the corner) but the best part of organizing all the shoes, accessories and clothes is making room for new items! I recently spent some time shopping the latest spring trends at Nordstrom Coral Gables where I work as a Beauty Stylist.
Some of my favorite items that I picked up for the season so far include this Missguided bardot dress that I already blogged about, this Gucci belt with the old logo which I love so much more than the new ‘GG’ logo, the cream body suit is from Topshop has easily become a go-to item to wear under jeans for a casual day out or with a skirt for a work appropriate outfit, these black jeans are also from Topshop and could not be more comfortable… I also bought a few beauty items that I just couldn’t resist!
I ordered a few other pieces so I’m patiently waiting for those to arrive… There’s something about the change of seasons that makes me feel so refreshed and renewed, of course, a little wardrobe update always helps too!

It’s official, I’m bardot dress obsessed. Well, me and everyone else who appreciates a modern trend with a pinch of nostalgic vintage glamour. This Missguided midi dress ($82) hits just below the knee with a figure skimming bodice and ruffled off-the-shoulder neckline. I usually stay away from muted colors but the soft, grey-lilac shade is so dreamy for spring and the floral pattern is feminine but not over-powering.
When I first saw this dress online, I had really high hopes. When I tried it on in-store at Nordstrom Merrick Park I was so happy to discover that it was even prettier in person. The ruffle isn’t as outrageous as it may look and the fabric is perfect for this type of cut since it has a little stretch but also firmness to keep everything in place.
This secret courtyard in Coral Gables served as the perfect backdrop for this romantic date night outfit. To style this dress I grabbed my go-to gold clutch from J. Crew that matches just about everything. Not only did it warm up the look and tie in the gold from the necklace, it kept the springtime feel. The necklace is also from J. Crew, my favorite place to shop for jewelry. The choker adds glam and a little edge to the ensemble which I love… Check out the rest of my shoot down below!
Overall, I love this outfit for ringing in spring. It’s so comfortable and I think I’ll be grabbing this piece off the hanger a lot over the next few months! To complete the makeup for this shoot I used my favorite new foundation by Giorgio Armani and Tender Beige long wear lipstick by Chanel.

When it comes to foundations I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t keep an open mind. I have my staple formulas that I grab for specific occasions and they’re usually all from one brand, Chanel. It’s not that I’m a makeup snob or that I don’t get all the feels when a new product launches. I love trying new brands and new formulas but time and time again I’ve been let down and completely disappointed, reverting back to my usual ways. It’s not easy to find a great foundation if you live in a hot and humid climate. If you have combination or oily skin, forget about it. Everything I’ve tried which includes high-end, middle tier and drugstore brands has either made me break out, smeared all over the place or felt far too heavy. Is it really too much to ask for a medium to full coverage, matte finish foundation that will last all day and not feel like cake face?! I thought the answer was ‘yes,’ until I discovered Giorgio Armani’s new Power Fabric foundation.
When I first heard about the Power Fabric foundation by Giorgio Armani, I was curious because I assumed that it would be different from the ever so popular Luminous Silk. While most of the beauty loving world is obsessed with Luminous Silk, I simply can’t wear it because of its dewy finish and light coverage. It’s my favorite foundation to use during makeovers because it’s so gorgeous on most women, but it’s not meant for me. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I assumed correct. Power Fabric is the complete opposite of Luminous Silk. It has medium to full coverage, a matte finish, it’s long-wear with SPF 25 and it feels weightless on the skin. In my full review down below I go into further detail about why I absolutely love this foundation.
I still can’t believe that I’ve found a foundation that fits my needs so perfectly. If you have combination to oily skin and love the flawless appearance of a medium to full coverage foundation, take my word for it, Power Fabric will change your world!
What you need to know:
- Matte finish
- SPF 25
- Medium to full coverage
- weighless feel
- 20 shades
- 16 hours of wear
- Will NOT oxidize
- Best suited for oily/combo skin
- Apply radiance primer and liquid illuminator for glow
- Can use sponge or brush

I love a perfectly petite crossbody bag. Like most women, during the week I carry a giant oversized tote stuffed with the weekly essentials. On the weekends, I like to lighten the load figuratively and literally with a much smaller purse. That’s why I was elated to be asked to join Coach’s Spring 2017 campaign featuring the delightfully adorable ‘dinky’ crossbody ($295).
I chose the bordeaux because I love the way it adds a pop of color to neutral basics, plus, the deep red shade is perfect for transitioning from winter to spring. For this look, I styled the ‘dinky’ with another one of my favorite everyday maxi dresses from Lulu’s and my favorite costume jewelry from J.Crew.
I was honestly surprised by the attention to detail this bag offers. The straps are detachable so you can wear it like a clutch instead of over the shoulder. There is a change purse inside and a divider to keep you organized. It easily holds a phone, car keys and lipstick with extra room for whatever else you may need. The leather is so soft and the metal fixtures are high-quality and luxurious. This bag is so classic and comes in seven different colors. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this bag non stop on the weekends.
If you’re currently living in a winter wonderland filled with snow and sweaters, you’ll have to pardon my post because here in south Florida… It’s beach weather! It’s not too hot, not too chilly, it’s just right. In a few months, all Floridians will be jealous of the northern states but until then we get to enjoy the best time of year to live south Florida. The temperature is on point for walking around town and I just can’t seem to get out of my favorite everyday maxi dress. It’s perfect for so many occasions since it’s a not too dressy or casual… like this amazing weather outside, it’s just right!
The best part is that it’s from Lulu’s so it wasn’t expensive at all ($33), it’s machine washable so it’s easy to clean, the color is neutral so it goes with just about everything. The only problem with this dress is that I’ve forgotten about everything else in my closet! In an attempt to switch things up, I actually placed an order for another maxi dress in a different color… Yep, I’m officially obsessed! At this price, I think you will be too!
The Devil is in the details…
The tote bag is Gucci, shoes are BCBGmaxazria and the necklace is from Mirina Collections. Use my code ‘Mirinagirls’ for a discount on their Famous statement necklaces! What closet staples are your favorites? Let me know below in the comments section!
Black, White, Beige, Gold and Red. These color codes were used by Coco Chanel when she created her first fashion line. Today, we still regard them as the staples of modern fashion and beauty. La Maison Chanel has reinterpreted and reimagined these colors countless times, but this time, the color codes of CHANEL have been given new life thanks to Global Beauty Designer Lucia Pica. In her third collection for the brand, Pica has once again challenged traditional beauty notions while maintaining balance and wearability.
The Spring 2017 Coco Codes Collection includes a limited edition Coco Code Harmony blush ($70), my personal favorite blush Elegance ($45) which is not limited, two brown waterproof eyeliners ($33), six lipsticks ($37), four nail vernis and two eyeshadow palettes #274 Codes Elegants and #278 Codes Subtils ($61). The three lipsticks I bought are Rouge Allure #176 Indepedante, Rouge Allure Velvet #62 Libre and Rouge Coco Shine #126 Beige Dore.
This collection is so classic and versatile, it could easily be the only makeup you ever wore, ever again. That may seem dramatic but you can achieve daytime, evening and special occasion looks that are feminine and easy to achieve. I created two of my favorite go to makeup tutorials using this collection for my YouTube channel!

Everyone owns a LBD, or two… Or ten. But the little black dress that makes you feel extra confident and beautiful no matter what while wearing it, now that it the perfect date night outfit. It’s important to have those power outfits in your wardrobe for special occasions, you never know when you could have a date with destiny! This little black dress is from Missguided. It’s equally important to have a power purse to match the ensemble. I’ve been obsessed with YSL bags lately so when I saw the multi-color sparkle wallet on a chain it was love at first sight. This Yves Saint Laurent “woc” is from Nordstrom.
Each piece is so ornate, but the details don’t clash when worn together. I think because the purse and dress are both black, it just works. I wore gold earrings to pull in the gold monogram of the clutch and voila! The cold shoulder, high-neck and lace design of the dress make this a stand alone piece, but the bag elevates the look to be more fashion forward.

Finally! I fully intended to post my review of the new Sublimage Le Teint foundation weeks ago when I first got that little pot of gold in my hands. After wearing it for a week straight, my overall impression is that it’s CHANEL’s best foundation launch of 2016. Last year, the brand unveiled four completely different formulas Les Beiges, Le Teint Ultra Tenue liquid, … Read More CHANEL Sublimage Le Teint Foundation Review
